Who am I?

Samara Rani (they/she) is a Canadian mixed-race queer fiction and screenwriter specializing in creative writing at the University of Winnipeg. Since the age of 10, Samara has always felt a passion for the craft and, growing up, spent their free time creating stories, whether in their head or on the page. They are driven, hard-working, and open-minded. While Samara specializes in fiction and screenwriting, they are experienced in creative nonfiction and have the willingness to get more practice and experience in every form of writing possible. They are currently looking for writing jobs in the film industry and slowly building their portfolio.

They hope to create stories that celebrate diversity and focus on mixed-race identity.
